This case study details the design process of an onboarding flow for an event-based travel platform, focusing on creating a user-friendly and engaging experience that encourages rapid onboarding and active engagement.

Problem Statement
The primary challenge was to minimize user friction and prevent user dropout during the onboarding process for first-time users of the event-based travel platform. Research revealed that complex or time-consuming onboarding flows often led to frustration and disengagement, resulting in a high churn rate. To address this, the goal was to create an onboarding experience that was intuitive, efficient, and engaging, guiding users smoothly through the platform's core features.
Design Process
The design process involved the following stages:
- Wireframing: Low-fidelity wireframes were created to visualize the information architecture and user flow of the onboarding process.
- Prototyping: A high-fidelity interactive prototype was developed in Figma to simulate the onboarding experience and conduct usability testing.
- Visual Design: The visual design elements, such as color scheme, typography, and iconography, were chosen to align with the brand aesthetic and user experience goals.
- User Testing: A series of usability tests were conducted with target users to gather feedback on the design and identify areas for improvement.

Learnings and Reflections

In future projects, I will focus on incorporating user feedback at all stages of the design process and ensuring that the USP is consistently reinforced throughout the user experience.
